(70,388 posts)the costs of transport and all, is small. especially for clothing.
maybe another $10-20 for a suit over making it here.
for walmart, that might be worth it. but these are supposed to be luxury brands.

(67,846 posts)It was late fall, but the weather was hotter than I'd anticipated. I wanted to get a couple of short sleeve "stay dry" type polo/golf shirts. Being without a car, I went to the pro shop to see what was available.
They had a GREAT selection. Seriously. Lots and lots of choices.
These shirts can be had at Costco or Kohls for maybe $20. A genuine Underarmor brand might be $50 (which I think is far too high). At Doral, they were all branded with Trump's name or with a generic Doral brand. The Dorals were in the $100 to $150 range. The Trump branded ones were $125 to $200.
All were made in third world countries.
I saw someplace (maybe here on DU) someone is suing Doral for being bitten by bedbugs! I didn't see any bedbugs, but the place was really kind of a dump. Clean enough, but very worn and lacking maintenance.

I was hoping this would get more attention.
We need to hit Trump on his hypocrisy on making products in America, outsourcing jobs, etc.
