Obama to GOP: 'Stop worrying about the next election and start worrying about the next generation'

Obama: 'No excuse' for Congress not to act

WASHINGTON, June 16 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama Saturday urged Americans to tell Congress "stop worrying about the next election and start worrying about the next generation."

In his weekly radio and Internet address, the president reviewed proposals he has made intended to help accelerate the nation's recovery from "the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression."

"The economy is growing again, but it's not growing fast enough," he said. "Our businesses have created 4.3 million new jobs over the last 27 months, but we're not creating them fast enough. And we're facing some pretty serious headwinds -- from the effects of the recent spike in gas prices, to the financial crisis in Europe."

a good writer that can come up with these lines and resonate with the electorate, or to make someone who isn't on the team at least "think" even briefly.

They been haranguing you for shit you didn't do for 3 years. Now do something that they can really get upset over....call them out on their shit for a change.

I would love it if the campaign fighter would stick around after the election, too.

They have been conditioned to think everything will be fine once a repug gets back in office.

I know Obama is working for us against all odds, maybe this will tell the Midwestern states why they aren't doing much better, at least this helps put blame on the people to whom it belongs.
