Enough with the Corporate media BS! High Corporate Tax Encourages Growth, Investment and Hiring

We all know Corporations are people my friend, people who don't want to pay taxes.

What does a Corporation with high earnings and high taxes do to avoid paying their taxes?

They expense everything. They buy a new car and put it on the company tab. They buy new equipment. The expand their business. They hire new employees. They buy company lunches and everything they can think of to put on the company tab so expenses appear greater than the money they bring in, in order to lower their taxes.

When Corporate taxes are high, the incentive is to spend and expand, saving money on taxes but also making businesses more valuable and viable, not to mention creating jobs.

When Corporate taxes are low, and getting lower for 30+ years, what is the incentive for spending when you can just hoard all the money and cash in on interest and the stock market? Might this be the problem that has developed?

The solutions to our problems are so simple, we have to raise corporate tax to what our founders intended.

Tariffs were to pay for 97% of the cost to run government. Now we have eliminated Tariffs? Who exactly is supposed to pay for wars and Big Government programs like Homeland Security and the TSA?

They sent all our jobs overseas, now blame the poor for needing assistance when people would much rather be paying personal income tax than getting food stamps.

Why is it that both parties support treasonous 'free' trade agreements, and both talk of the need to lower taxes.

As Huey Long said, our problems are so simple. We need to tax the wealthy who are hoarding all wealth.

'It is not the difficulty of the problem,it is that the rich people will not allow us to solve them'

They have hoarded so much wealth, they have bought off what use to be our public airwaves. Now they control the entire messaging in the US, distract us with incredibly stupid issues when the answers to our problems are so obvious.

We need to take back our public airwaves, and loudly collectively insist that the words of Huey Long are discussed.

30+ years of tax cuts have cause this mess, no amount of more tax cuts will fix it.

The tax rate needs to be raised to the levels during Eisenhower. This economy can be fixed just as quickly as they fucked it up. The money did not disappear, the greedy 1%ers took it all, and now they are using this vast amount of wealth to control us like never before.

Their means of control is manufactured consent on the corporate media. As much as we all brag that we shut the TV off, millions of Americans still watch and believe they are telling the truth.

As we allow them to buy our public airwaves, they will continue to tell us to eat shit and like it.

Is it time to Occupy TV Stations yet?

I think most people think of how a small business operates when they hear about the "desires" of corporations. Small businesses though cannot survive as cash hoarders but the corporate world does.

When a corporation cuts costs by consolidating, increasing productivity (working employees even harder), and moving operations out of the country, they want the results of that gold rush to be tax free.
Nothing but Greed and the Dems better find a way to get the message out - on the offensive.

Edit to add: Welcome!

use it against democrats, but also for things like fake Courthouse Newspapers newspapers to influence juries. They cannot have any check on their corporate power! Check out the one from my hometown: www.southeasttexasrecord.com. The 1st several issues ran with no ads until they realized that some people were recognizing it for what it is, propaganda. Propaganda designed to influence juries. They know what types of cases are coming up for trial, so they craft their stories and time them to be on the stand right outside the jury empaneling room. The prospective juror might be sent to the court where they are starting a med mal case, and while he/she is waiting they read about the huge number of frivolous med mal cases and some bad story about that particular Plaintiff attorney who is the Plaintiff attorney in the car they are there for! This is BS! This is un- American! Campaign finance reform please! That is the cure for all that ails us!

I have worked in accounting for years, and I can tell you that what you suggest is true. I remember times when taxes were high on corporations, and they did spend money and hire people. The employees also would get fat Christmas bonuses when they realized that the profits were high and taxes would take all the money that they saved by not giving bonuses. Those bonuses also fueled the economy by being spent by the employees. I guess this is how "trickle down economics" would be supposed to work---but the corporations have to be forced to trickle it down.

"The employees also would get fat Christmas bonuses when they realized that the profits were high and taxes would take all the money that they saved by not giving bonuses."

Exactly! Then those employees take the money to pay their bills and spend, and that is what gets the economy moving.

We have to do something about the corporate media using our public airwaves to lie to us, taking billions from the Koch brothers while they enable fascism all for their bottom line.

with people that we know is the best way to fight against the money spent to influence people. We cannot fight with dollars, but I have found that, even if I don't totally sway people at that moment, I am able to make them think about what they are believing. And thinking is the first step. Don't dismiss our power with friends/family/neighbors/coworkers.
