Did anyone do that to Bush?
(yes, someone threw a show at him for invading that person's country, but it wasn't here)

(21,925 posts)Any loose cannon can interrupt a President or throw something at him at any given time. The disrespect shown by one person is only significant to me if it is widely approved of and ratified by others in that person's party. For me what's interesting is how the interrupter is considered by others. The shoe thrower in Iraq was taken down, arrested, and removed. Munro was given high fives from conservatives across the Internet. If you have the stomach for it you can search through conservative websites like theconservativereview.com that are high-fiving Munro or the Daily Caller that says it's "proud" of his interruptions of the President. And Fox News is supporting Munro's disrespectful action when they do things like edit out Bill O'Reilly's criticism of Munro on his show.

Indeed the whole purpose, IMO, is to secure the support of GOP racists by letting them know though, through disrespectful actions, that a black man who is president, is till a black man and therefore not worthy of the respect shown to anyone else in that office.
