Congressional breakfast

Senator Sessions went on and on about how under President Obama, defense spending only increased 10% but food stamp spending increased 100%. It was all my husband could do to stifle his laughter at the absurdity of what this Senator was saying and he thought it was such a waste of time to attend.

What I hear in that is the dog whistle of, "Obama is giving all your hard earned money to black people on welfare." Husband said he saw people in the audience nodding in assent. Can't fix stupid I guess. Way too much stupid in our nation right now. God I hope President Obama wins the re-election.

I point out errors every chance I get and offer to show them proof, if they don't believe what I'm saying. It is amazing how many people are poorly informed by soundbites. So many people are too busy to really get into the details and the Republicans are well aware of that.

Also, the Republicans have proven that if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.

That has to be corrected by refuting the lies one by one by one. In other words, the Repugs have to be deprogrammed like a teenager that has been misdirected by a cult.

I truly believe that the new Republican party is a cult...they are blind to reality, led by those who proclaim to be on the road to truth and, worst of all, proclaim to be Christians. I am a Christian, but I don't recognize this new brand of RW Christian. If you made them sit down and view a video of themselves and their fellow haters/cult members, they wouldn't recognize themselves, either.

The US is sick and needs intense therapy and healing.
