State Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries trounced City Councilman Charles Barron in a shwondown for Brooklyns 8th Congressional District.
With 54% of precincts reporting, the Associated Press deemed Jeffries the easy winner, 75% of the vote to Barrons 25%.

Addressing his supporters, Barron called for a recount and said he would not be calling Jeffries to congratulate him on the win.

Good riddance. Someone who considers Robert Mugabe and Muammar Gaddafi to be heroes has no place in Congress.
