Congressional Republicans' 27-page plan to (not) reform health care

Lest anyone accuse them otherwise, let it be known that Congressional Republicans absolutely do have a plan to reform health care in the U.S.

The main planks are these:

Repeal Obamacare.

Get rid of Obamacare.

Throw out Obamacare.

“On Thursday — and every day before and after — odds are good you will hear Democrats repeat their false claim that Republicans don’t have alternatives to Obamacare,” Brian Straessle, a spokesman for the Republican Study Committee, wrote in an e-mail that was obtained by the National Journal. “We certainly won’t repeat the Democrats’ mistakes with an unpopular, 2,700-page bill, but we do have a wealth of simple, commonsense solutions.”

As reporter Margot Sanger-Katz points out, more than 40 of the bills and resolutions on a 27-page list deal with getting rid of the Affordable Care Act or some of its provisions.
