Congressional Republicans' 27-page plan to (not) reform health care
Lest anyone accuse them otherwise, let it be known that Congressional Republicans absolutely do have a plan to reform health care in the U.S.
The main planks are these:
Repeal Obamacare.
Get rid of Obamacare.
Throw out Obamacare.
On Thursday and every day before and after odds are good you will hear Democrats repeat their false claim that Republicans dont have alternatives to Obamacare, Brian Straessle, a spokesman for the Republican Study Committee, wrote in an e-mail that was obtained by the National Journal. We certainly wont repeat the Democrats mistakes with an unpopular, 2,700-page bill, but we do have a wealth of simple, commonsense solutions.
As reporter Margot Sanger-Katz points out, more than 40 of the bills and resolutions on a 27-page list deal with getting rid of the Affordable Care Act or some of its provisions.
