Dear Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri, for you to be so dismissive

of Democratic Party values by asserting convention attendees are just party goers is plain old disingenuous. Your interview on Morning Joe today was shameful and by the way you were flitting you hands and gesturing nervously...it didn't even look like you believed your own drivel.

It is the members of your party that pound the pavement, and dial the phones trying to get you and all Democrats on the ticket elected. The convention is the place for party loyalists to get fired up so that they can return to their states and work as non-paid volunteer campaign workers.

Further, for you to not stand in support of our President during his party convention speaks volumes about your political integrity and lays bare before the voters the racist yellow under belly inherent in such a coward-filled decision.

Poo-poo it as you are entitled, but be on notice that if you are only in it to win it for yourself, surely you will fail because these times require the courage of standing together in solidarity. The time has come to step up to the plate and declare that our shared values are what make us stronger and that divided, we play right into the hands of right. Damn it to hell, when is the last time you heard a Republician Senator declare his party gathering irrelevant......

is her own re-election and thus cushy pension..... If she doesn't want to stand in solidarity with our President at the convention then she should take her conservative voting record and move over to make room for a real Democrat.....I'm more than sure that MO has some....

I stand by my OP and wonder at how far we are seeming to fall, where is the solidarity? Look at what happened in Wisconsin....Democrats voting for Walker on the sole basis of being against recall. Really?

11. What do they have to gain by going to the con?

At least skipping the con give them more time to campaign, otherwise it makes no difference

8. But what benefits would she get going to the convention instead of campaigning in MO?

Do you know of any Dems in MO who won't be voting for her based on her decision? At least she can campaign by skipping the con.
