Now SCOTUSblog got something wrong. You can refuse to comply with the mandate by paying the tax.

There's the mighty sop to the libertarian right wingers. It's a tax so you can refuse to pay it.

ETA: Now SCOTUSblog reported it wrong! You can refuse the mandate by paying the tax. You can't refuse to pay the tax. They just amended that. Sorry about that.

. . . it was apparently a typo. The Court didn't write that. They wrote that the only effect of not complying with the mandate is that you pay the tax (and, impliedly, get nothing for it). So in other words, you don't have to take the health care that you're being taxed for if you don't want it.
