Did hell just freeze over? Roberts siding with the progressive justices?

I'm not sure if this is a matter of him actually siding with the progressive justices, or if it's his way of supporting the corporate insurance interests.

Hopefully it's the former, and hopefully it's a sign that he could wind up leaning more to the left. How delicious would that be, the neo-cons losing yet another of their SCOTUS judges!

They would have upheld the PPACA on commerce clause grounds, which Roberts rejected.

The only way to get a majority was for them to agree to the tax argument (the only ground the Chief would accept).

Roberts vote is an outlier. I have no clue why he voted with Justice Ginsberg.

All the rest of conservatives and insurance cos want it gone. They recognize that Obamacare is putting us one step closer to single payer.

This time he did not vote with the right wingers.

I doubt there is a single DU'er who believes he has "changed" because of this vote.
