General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWill the new Obama Care not make thousands and thousands of new jobs? Nurses, Physician Assistants,
people that manufacture off the stuff - needles, cotton balls, etc. Teachers to teach all the new nurses and on and on.
I have not heard anybody point out the new jobs aspect. All I have heard is Republicans whining that getting proper care would be delayed, etc. It would be delayed if everything stayed exactly like it is - it won't. It will create new jobs- another victory that the President needs to point out to people.

(27,461 posts)for one thing, so many more customers to service. And in general, regulations cause companies to hire people in order to comply. For example the services that are now required like screenings, that is a big increase in demand for screenings.

"It's about jobs," she said. "In its life (health care reform) will create 4 million jobs, 400,000 jobs almost immediately.""Imagine an economy where people could change jobs, start businesses, become self-employed, whether to pursue their artistic aspirations or be entrepreneurial and start new businesses, if they were not job-locked because they have a child who's bipolar, or a family member who's diabetic with a pre-existing condition, and all of the other constraints that having health care or not having health care places on an entrepreneurial spirit," she said."
So, 400,000 jobs directly attributable to ACA, added to the jobs President Obama's administration is already creating... It's looking pretty damn good! I'm looking for the unemployment numbers to go down by a huge margin.
Yup... a huge margin.
