Obamacare, and for that matter single payer too, are not "free". We all pay for it in the same way we pay for police, fire departments and other government services.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

(ignoring the double negative quirk of speech) ... Everything is paid for in one way or another. The US pays a very high price for it's hodge-podge health care system: gold-plated for Senators, and high-cost emergency room care paid for by tax-payers when the uninsured use it as a doctor's office.

US health care is costs the nation over $8,000 per person per year and is less good on average than the European countries who average about half that.
