Romney Promises To Nominate Judges ‘In The Mold’ Of John Roberts On Website

Chief Justice John Roberts may have just sided with the liberal wing of the Supreme Court in upholding President Obama’s health care law, but according to Mitt Romney’s own website, the presumptive Republican nominee would nominate justices “in the mold” of Roberts.

“As president, Mitt will nominate judges in the mold of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Alito,” reads the ‘Courts & The Constitution’ section of Romney’s campaign website. “These justices hold dear what the great Chief Justice John Marshall called “the basis on which the whole American fabric has been erected”: a written Constitution, with real and determinate meaning. The judges that Mitt nominates will exhibit a genuine appreciation for the text, structure, and history of our Constitution and interpret the Constitution and the laws as they are written. And his nominees will possess a demonstrated record of adherence to these core principles.”

PHOTO: John Roberts’ Wikipedia Page Vandalized: ‘Chief Traitor’

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’ Wikipedia page caption appeared to have been changed to “17th Chief Traitor of the United States” soon after the decision on President Obama’s heath care law was announced. Roberts voted with the majority in upholding the mandate. It has since been corrected.

Bringing Left and Right together over Chief Justice Roberts

by kos

Oh my!

Furious conservative activists lashed out Thursday in the blogosphere at Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts for siding with the left and upholding the individual mandate in “Obamacare,” with some even calling for his impeachment.

Dear conservatives,

Unfortunately there's really no way to replace Roberts as chief justice except by either convincing him to resign/retire, or by impeaching him.

So to show that I'm not 100 percent partisan, 100 percent of the time, let me reach out in solidarity—

It was total bullshit what Chief Justice Roberts did to you. So I'm happy to join you in calling for his ouster, either voluntarily or via impeachment. Heck, I'll go out of my way to help you accomplish this laudable goal.

That's just how helpful I am.
