"The political timing of the Eric Holder contempt vote could not be worse.". . .

..."It makes the House GOP look petty and partisan."

Joe Scarborough (yes THAT Joe Scarborough)

The timing is undoubtedly partially meant as retaliation for the Supreme Court's ruling this morning upholding the ACA (not to mention a bit of sheer Republican racism tossed in for good measure)

Just LOOK at Boehner's face in the photo with Pelosi today here on DU. He looks like a smited, snarling little 6-year-old ready to pitch a hissyfit. And the GOP did pitch their little hissyfit by voting Holder in contempt - for essentially nothing HE even did wrong.

Because I'm betting they're going to harp on this as if it were a legitimate contempt conviction.

Also, fuck Karl Rove.

Ever since they screamed that about Clinton, I've been looking for an opportunity to throw it back in their faces.

But instead, they are showing themselves to be hollow, petty, and cruel. They can't spike the ball and do a touchdown dance when their opponent is the one who scored.

All these stunts the GOP pulled backfired on them, and Clinton was reelected easily.
