Just insuring people isn't going to do the trick. Most of the bankruptcies based on medical debt were people that were insured. That's when single-payer or a Medicare buy-in will plug that hole.

This bill will be watched, and Americans will see what for-profit health insurance means in terms of higher costs and less medical care. And there will be a move toward single-payer insurance and non-profit management of the companies providing the insurance.

Investors can still earn money by loaning to hospitals and doctors to help finance the cost of investment in new equipment and technology.
