Watching CNN yesterday, a segment of coverage was devoted to letting us know how "controversial" the Courts ruling upholding health care reform was.
Whenever something happens that doesn't pour more money into the lap of the 1%, it is "controversial".
Anyone else notice this subliminal framing of the news on CNN, especially in light of their having the alternate universe version of the story ready to go ahead of time, to put the court in the best possible light when they rule against the people?
" CNN) -- The U.S. Supreme Court made a landmark ruling Thursday upholding the controversial, massive reform of health care coverage initiated by President Barack Obama."

(27,630 posts)on CNN "Headline News", I have been unable to forgive them. And why should I? Two hours of Glenn Beck every goddamn evening on a channel that is supposed to be news, is unforgiveable.
CNN irritates me.

(130,146 posts)They think that by directly taking on Faux Snooze in the propaganda and manufactured reality department, they can appeal to the lunatic fringe, who they think are the "Majority of America". But the difference is that Faux finally admitted that what they broadcast is "entertainment", and the ones watching them are either brain dead or are there for the laugh. Meanwhile CNN keeps trying to push that their broadcasts are "news" rather than opinion and RW shilling.
As it is, for the past month, their website has been littered with the most freakish and outlandish tabloid stories that they could find.
