Former GOP Spokesman: 'Is Armed Rebellion Now Justified?'

A Lansing-based civil rights attorney who has held positions with the Michigan Republican Party and Department of Corrections, questioned in a widely distributed email today whether armed rebellion was justified over the Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare.

Matthew Davis sent the email moments after the Supreme Court ruling to numerous new media outlets and limited government activists with the headline: “Is Armed Rebellion Now Justified?”

He stressed that he wasn't calling for armed rebellion but added his own personal note to the email, saying, “… here’s my response. And yes, I mean it.”

He said he was writing with an "eye toward asking at what point the Republic is in peril."

something he disagrees with, - is armed rebellion justified, simply because
he doesn't like it? How in the world does ACA take away his 'freedoms'?
Are people disappearing in prison? Is it taxation without representation - no,
he has representation. Oh, he might have to pay for someone less fortunate than him
to have a better chance to have a healthy life!!!
It just seems so embedded in the Republican mindset to not give a damn about anyone else.

The minute some of these right wing extrmists stop getting 95%of what they demand, they start hollering for violent uprisings. What nonsense.

Meanwhile, we progressives have lost far more political battles than we have won since Reagan took office, yet we still believe in things like reasoned dialogue and a Constitutional system in which we take a stand woth words & ideas.

We were lied into a war of choice resulting in 100,000s of deaths and adding trillion$ to our national deficit, but the SCOTUS upholds the Affordable Care Act and and the prospect of "armed rebellion" is dragged into the nation's discourse?

Do these people ever listen to themselves?

Yes, Mr. Davis, "the Republic is in peril." And it's coming from conservatives, TeaBaggers, right-wingers, and freepers...

Seriously, this is why we need to Occupy the TV stations.

These idiots get to say whatever they want, whenever they want, making a mountain out of a molehill and we never even get a counter argument.

And we have all the facts, truth and justice on our side. Damn 'liberal' media.HA!

In 37 words: You're welcome to try, but you're going to find out pretty quickly that support for your temper tantrum is thinner than you think. But if you want to go commit treason, hey, don't let that stop you.
