It was during the call-in portion about Eric Holder and what should happen next? These are callers that always come in on the Republican line. Why is that?

(2,667 posts)I don't mean to say the kid wasn't a racist, he no doubt is. Its just that in this case he was more of a blathering idiot who had nothing at all to say and just let his mouth keep flapping. You surely noticed that when Rob asked him 'are you saying you are a racist?' that the idiot responded almost word for word with the same thing he had said in the first place, which was some undecipherable nonsense about how he used to wasn't a racist but now he was but he didn't know why and didn't seem to have a clue on the face of this earth what he was saying.

(31,706 posts)I used to watch C-SPIN every morning for years and there was always a racist or anti-semetic or homophobic caller. No surprise...and a reflection of how racism permeates the modern rushpublican party. While I still believe the major reason the NRA concocted the F&F scandal to shake down their members and politicians, there is a racist undertone that one can't help but see. When the hate radio asshats start bullying it's usually a woman or black or hispanic.
C-SPIN doesn't run a delay...other than the satellite lag and it leads to some amusing moments. I stopped watching as I got tired of how they loaded up the calls...many mornings they'd rotate rushpublican, democrat, rushpublican, independent, rushpublican...rise and repeat. The show is also used by right wing media to distribute the daily talking points. You'll hear the latest poutrage leak by a caller or guest (always someone from the AEI or Heritage Institute) sneaking out the day's marching orders...
Cheers...
