This site tells me that $4.07 would equal $4.38 in 2012 dollars and/or that the $3.38 would be $3.17 in 2008 dollars.

I like the $4.38 in 2012 dollars v the $3.38 since it is a nice even one dollar per gallon difference.

or is this the week when they say the President can't affect gas prices? I know it seems to cycle endlessly.

Actual reply I got from RWer:

WE PREDICTED THIS!! In fact, because of this it PROVES the whole thing has been a sham and a hoax a la Obama and his thugs. We've been waiting and ... sure enough!!! I tell ya, that shady character will stop at NOTHING to get elected and reelected.

-------------------------
Another excuse I heard was that the economy was going south so now theyre blaming him for that.

They predicted that gas prices would be lower under Obama, and that proves that he'll do anything to be elected? I'm not sure I'm following the--ahem--logic of this post.

Consider the source, I guess.

or use June 28, 2004 - $1.86

In other words, let's not pretend that $3.38 is something to brag, or smile, about.

It is sorta down from $3.88 in April, but it's also sorta up from $3.19 in last December and from $3.06 in Feb. 2011
