Ivanka Trump has revealed in a new book that the pressures of her fathers presidential election campaign were such that she went into survival mode and did not have time for massages or meditation.
Trump, who has been appointed as a White House adviser by President Donald Trump and founded an eponymous fashion business, said she wrote the book, Women Who Work , because she wanted to "debunk the superwoman myth."
"During extremely high-capacity times, like during the campaign, I went into survival mode: I worked and I was with my family; I didnt do much else," Trump writes, according to an excerpt published by Fortune .
"Honestly, I wasnt treating myself to a massage or making much time for self-care. I wish I could have awoken early to meditate for 20 minutes and I would have loved to catch up with the friends I hadnt seen in three months, but there just wasnt enough time in the day," she continues.

(36,567 posts)What a privileged little shit IT is. How many working women have time to meditate, much less time & money for massages & spa pampering. I hate this family.

I like that Gwynneth Paltrow Award of self-absorption idea.

She's an enabler. She might own some rich white girl guilt, but she is all hat, no cattle.

Did the maid wash her yoga pants on the morning she was hoping to meditate?
Could not her social secretary message her friends to let them know that IT still cares?
Why, oh why, must life be so seemingly perfect for IT - on the outside - when behind the scenes other women are working so hard to prop up Ivanka Trump! How awful for IT to feel the pressure of being a superwoman and how ungrateful are those who allow her the opportunity! They don't understand how hard it is for IT to maintain the image their labor allows her to maintain! It's so unfair!
Leave Ivanka alone! Let her proclaim from the penthouse rooftop that she is not a superwoman and that sometimes, when the help is taking an off day, she has to pour the milk herself!
Well, unless the temp agency has a part-time replacement.

Hell, I'm lucky to get 6 hours of sleep per night. You know, what with working two jobs and raising an 8 year old as a single parent.
Every month Trump & the GOP threaten to take away my goddamn ACA health insurance that I bought on the federal exchange.
I am freaking stressed out and I make less than half of what I made pre-recession and losing my professional 9-5 job in my career field.

(7,440 posts)Poor victim Ivanka. What a suffering life. She had to miss her massage while rubbing shoulders with all of her clients-- heads of state, all of them. I'm so sad.
Ivanka, what's an emolument? Do you think it's a kind of massage oil?

(20,884 posts)Scrubbing the toilet comes second. After this work, you want a freaking massage? How dare you be so greedy and self-serving!
Good luck worming the cat btw; hope you don't lose an arm, eye, etc. during this process! *eek*

Just kidding; I have no cat. But I do have to scrub the toilet for real.
I may reward myself with a couple of Oreos, the favorite junk food of Trump-hating liberal snowflakes.

(63,221 posts)Poor, poor Ivanka! I can't imagine the struggles you have been through. What a strong person you must be to endure such hardship!
She's just like her pathetic, lazy-ass father. They think a life that includes any kind of effort on their part is just terribly unfair. Everything should just be handed to them and there should always be someone around to cater to their every whim. Meanwhile, do everything in your power to make sure that life is a misery for hard-working Americans who are already suffering and struggling and just trying to stay alive. God, they are revolting! Bring back the guillotine!
