Exercising that authority by outing our allies to the Russians is unconventional to say the least. imho it is impeachable regardless of legality. Impeachment is a political act, not a judicial one and this president has proven himself to be a danger to the world. I am no fan of Mossad but if they had an agent inside ISIS good for them and us. RIP whoever he was.

at the time he blabbed, it was classified.

but, yes, there is a normal procedure he didn't follow. He didn't have to though because the idea behind giving the President that authority is that he can be trusted with it.

though i also doubt any court case has ever come up, so there's probably nothing definitive one way or the other.
