If ISIS does decide to pull off something similar here to what they've done several times in Europe, there will be implications.
Of course there's the immediate implications that some people could die in an attack and that's bad enough.
But far worse is considering who is in charge, or rather who isn't in charge.
Trump is not a rational, thinking, measured person. He's a madman, and not just that, a Madman currently in some major legal trouble that he would love to go away. And that going away would include seizing areas of power that we would not normally allow to be ceded. But if there is an excuse....like a terrorist attack...
Gone are the days like the past eight years where we had someone extremely smart and tactical and uncompromised in the White House.
We have no friends in power right now, especially if the GOP continues to put party over country.
We're at both the mercy of ISIS and of Trump. If one strikes, they both strike. It's extremely precarious right now.
