(11,258 posts)And I'm being generous by calling her a fraud, as you can easily conclude that she's taking advantage of our desparation to get rid of Trump to sabotage the entire movement.
I didn't need to hear it from Nance, but it's nice to know that someone I respect agrees.

We'll know over time if she's been trolling us all.

(6,551 posts)what Mensch writes, she's an unreliable and questionable source of information.
Plenty of other sources who are far more credible.

(7,306 posts)When it comes to news, I don't blindly trust any one person. Hell, I don't blindly trust anybody. Maybe my dog but I know her agenda. I highly respect Nance and love his insight on how the IC works. I have no respect for Mensch beyond that level of respect that I give strangers until they give me reason to withdraw that respect or even raise it.
Trust has a much higher bar. Even if Nance were to present "news" I would wait for verification from other sources to back him up, just like I do with Mensch, Maddow, Hayes, the local news, anybody, especially in today's environment. Trust is built over a long time of never, ever, ever being wrong, misleading or in some way less than honest. In short, when it comes to news, I keep a large round of salt on the end table and some news reports require more salt while others less and others require much, much, much less.
Thank you Mr.Nance for your advice but I'm a big boy and am already in the habit of questioning everything to at least some degree when considering the source.

(7,440 posts)This criticism from Nance seems more like a pissing contest than a call-out for accuracy and truth. Sometimes, Nance sounds like an idiot, other times, he's on the mark. Mensch has her own follies.

(49,075 posts)Mensch has been invaluable in providing multiple "heads-up" and even a scoop or two. However, as with all media reports, whether social media or mainstream media, I read for details and assign likelihoods based on track records and internal consistency along with verifiable and collaborative reports.

Yiannopoulos popped up now because he is the true provocateur and his career is lagging badly. So he is now pushing what is less than even a half-truth since it does not hold up under scrutiny.
