Stephen Colbert Apologizes to Eric Trump: 'We Always Thought You Were the Dumb One'
Donald Jr.'s tweets have left the "Late Show" host positively gobsmacked.

Earlier that day, the first son had inexplicably tweeted out his email exchange with a Kremlin-connected lawyer.
"What are you doing?" asked Colbert. "Does he even have a lawyer? Because you rarely see a cop show where the lawyer bursts into the interrogation room and shouts, 'Keep talking! In fact, tweet out everything you know!'"

"This is the first email," Colbert read. "'Subject: Russia—Clinton—private and confidential.' We are five words in, and four of them are "Russia, Clinton, private, confidential.' The only one that's innocent is 'and.'"
"I would like to issue a formal apology," concluded Colbert. "I'd like to apologize to Eric Trump. We always thought you were the dumb one, and we were wrong."
