Pence gets up at the mike and says that it's time for Congress to do its job.
tRump tries to blame the Ds, but he steps on his own lead by ragging on Congress that "all I've heard for the past seven years is repeal and replace."
How do you think that sits with Yertle and Frat Boy, both of whom have been down in the closed-door trenches trying to muster the votes to pass their Wealthcare bullshit? I'm thinking they're not too happy about it.
And the bottom line is that no one in Congress fears tRump. They see a lunatic who is his own worst enemy. They know what is coming as Mueller expands his investigation. It's not a matter of whether they turn on tRump, it's a matter of when.

(17,867 posts)They passed a Draconian repeal bill last year. Why not now? Every one of the GOP Congress and Senator should be aggressively primaried.

(24,470 posts)It wasn't really going for real and Republicans had nothing to lose but everything to gain vote-wise for staging yet another repeal vote. They knew that President Obama was going to veto it and they didn't have the votes for an override, so it was basically a symbolic vote. This year, with Congress and the WH in their hands, they finally ran out of excuses for not actually repealing it (no more President Obama or Democrats to block them) and came up with an awful bill that they tried to push through by an equally appalling and undemocratic process that didn't work out in the end.
