Because they rig the elections and they really don't care about what the
people think or want.
Remember after Sandy Hook where 20 little kids and 6 teachers were
shot @ Christmas time in an elementary school? After that the GOP
made it eaiser to get and or carry guns even though >80% of Americans
wanted something done. They just don't care and know they are safe
because of the system.

The high road isn't working anymore, supporting McCain when he's just like the others is simply naive.

(39,345 posts)all is fine and dandy, democratic process, so proud, blah blah.
This is a civil war, not only that it's a war with Russia. And they have the power, at least our reps in congress need to think straight and stop deluding themselves about voting machines.
Botany
(70,697 posts).... people to vote on electronic voting machines and despite the demographics being
dead set against them the GOP keeps getting more and more power. And with that
power they pushed through Citizens' United, Gerrymandering, and Cross Check.
Both McConnell and Ryan knew well before the election that the fix was in and that
Russia/Trump was working to rig the election and they went right along w/it.
In OH in 2016 thanx to Citizens' United a good man in Ted Strickland got slimed
w/non stop ads that blammoed him for job losses that were the GOP's and
the rich corporations fault.

(39,345 posts)Seems to be an unwritten rule. So outsiders take it on and look like quacks (Stein, Kennedy).
Where are the mainstream dems making noise about this?
I trust Schiff and Lieu, not many more.

(33,475 posts)And that Fear Itself is a rational basis for Governance. Fear of others, fear of crime, fear of difference, fear of nature, fear of change, fear of fair taxation, fear of regulation, fear fear fear.
It motivates Conservatism like no other principle.
