(34,161 posts)I was watching, and I didn't catch that. I hadn't realized he was voting by thumb's up/down - so I was listening and was pretty sure I hadn't heard a vote from him either way.
Nice to see the entire drama.

Smug dude gets a reality pie in his smirking, chinless face from the American people, courtesy of the veteran called a "loser" and a "dummy" by none other than the ignoble republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, Comrade Casino.

(14,602 posts)It was almost two years to the day a certain candidate for POTUS called McCain a loser for being captured, and that experience taught him patience, and while there was validation in saving the country's healthcare from being blown up, imo, the way he did this was a big fu to 45.

(81,642 posts)John McCain's an odd one. So many times I expect him to do the wrong thing, and then he'll do the opposite.

(108 posts)It was notable to me that almost all the Democrats, plus Collins and Murkowski, audibly voted NO, while most the Republicans either voted yes by a thumbs up or said yes almost inaudibly, as if they were not proud to vote yes. It was an obvious distinction during the live vote.

(14,167 posts)Chuck knew how McCain would vote.
I smiled when the normally stoic DiFi gave a clap.
Loved the stunned look on McTurtle's face.

(9,866 posts)...gloating smile before McCain actually comes near.
Then I have the impression that McCain actually kind of opposes McC with his body---a kind of mano-o-mano moment. Wish we had a shot of McCain's eyes at that moment. McC probably knew right then.

(2,001 posts)Hes returning to Arizona to begin chemo treatment, He doesn't need this bullshit anymore. He is and has always been a hero in my eyes although our politics dramatically differ. I personally think part of his motivation to vote this way was a big FUCK YOU to 45.

(51,717 posts)and it was amusing. McConnell looked like he swallowed a "gobstopper" when McCain gave a thumbs down vote on the ACA last night and they showed "thunderbolts and lightening, very very frightening" regarding Scaramucci. They said Trump brought Scaramucci in trying to right this ship and I thought they said he was, " trying to write this shit". Ha, Ha! I like it when I hear or read something too fast sometimes.
