....................The growing number of investigations, inquiries and controversies swirling around Administrator Pruitt should come as no surprise, Environmental Working Group President Ken Cook said in an email to ThinkProgress. Just like his boss, President Trump, this is what happens when you hand someone a job theyre exquisitely unfit to do.
Democratic House members wrote a letter to Pruitt on Wednesday raising concerns over a lack of transparency at the agency. The letter was signed by House Energy and Commerce Committee ranking member Frank Pallone (D-NJ), House Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee ranking member Diana DeGette (D-CO), and House Environment Subcommittee ranking member Paul Tonko (D-NY).
We are troubled by reports that the agency continues to operate with complete disregard for transparency by discontinuing the long-standing practice of posting the calendars of agency leadership online, taking down agency websites, and halting certain data collections from polluters, the lawmakers wrote.
The EPA reportedly halted data collection of oil and gas company emissions and closed more than 1,900 agency webpages, the lawmakers said. Employee movement with the agencys headquarters building is severely restricted, with employees requiring escorts. Employees also are told not to take notes in meetings or carry their cellphones, they said.

(3,813 posts)First of all, condemning voters, particularly those living in swing states, is no way to win future elections.
Secondly, why did two Senate Democrats vote to confirm criminal Pruitt? Joe Manchin and Heidi Heitkamp are drawing a salary to vote wisely, unlike the working folks of Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

K&R for this OP though. The full article is very worth a read!

(59,606 posts). . . but God forbid we criticize a couple of mangy Blue Dogs for their shitty votes for shitty, destructive and ideologically poisonous nominees.
Oh, and voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania - and every other state - who chose this stupid orange shitstain and his wrecking crew can FUCK RIGHT OFF.
Feel free to "reach out" with Cheetos and hand jobs, I'm just plain done caring.
