If I did, I'd value their friendship more than politics.

I just wouldn't bring politics up.

Nazis aren't ultra-right, they are actually socialists comparable to Bernie Sanders.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2017/09/03/reader-nazis-not-conservatives/622698001/

See, a whole lot of dumb packed into a few sentences, as one of the comments says. Still, this is what the right wing does. They lie, twist, and distort all things so we progressives have to sit there and defend ourselves against bullshit instead of getting our own talking points out. Karl Rove/Lee Atwater 101.

Be on the lookout. Nazis have NOTHING to do with either liberals or socialists. They are ultra-right-wing nutjobs who want unrestrained capitalism in the context of a chest-pounding nationalist ideology (theocracy). That's what Nazism is.

That part was wedged in during the "godless" communist hysteria of the McCarthy era.

or spouting the "respect the Office" BS (which they didn't do when Obama was President and don't remind them of that), then I refer them to this video, and ask if they consider this to be respectable or defensible?...

I used to link to nudes of Melania, but that was framed as "artsy".

Some members of my family are and seem to be regretting their votes for Trump. At least the ones that are paying attention to what is going on. Most Republicans I know I would never befriend, as they are self-centered and mean spirited and I do not need that in my life!!

I've never found it to be useful, frankly. Besides, it's too easy to do, since they're already pissed off.

I think maybe it's better to spend your time convincing people you agree with to vote. That's a more useful use of your time.
