I love odd celebrity back stories/connections. Becker-Fagen's drummer in college was .....

Becker met his long-time musical partner, Donald Fagen, while attending Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. While at Bard, Becker and Fagen formed and played in a number of groups, including the Leather Canary, which also included fellow student Chevy Chase on drums.[6] At the time, Chase called the group "a bad jazz band.

I remember seeing him on a talk show years ago--way before the Internet making that kind of claim.

One of my faves was that the innocent guy/movie theater worker in "Fast Times at Ridgement High" was based on the guy who wrote the "...for Dummies" books. Cameron Crowe went to high school with him.

My sister was lucky enough to see them a couple times. She tells a funny story about a little ditty that Walter Becker recited that cracked her up. I'll add it when I talk to her. She says that she thought he was a dick (do to reports about their separation) until she saw them.

And I have an old DVD of them live somewhere. I'll have to dig it out & watch it again now.

They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Frey or Henley take Fagen's girlfriend and he couldn't get her to come back. Heard that story years ago............
