The republican held legislature and governors office want to make Foxcon answerable in law only to the state Supreme Court. Circumventing lower courts authority, including appeals courts, to make sure that the republican held Supreme Court is the only place Foxcon will be held accountable.
Must be nice to be a special, super, citizen. If this goes through, and it's likely it will, its equally likely to be unconstitutional. But this is Wisconsin so who cares about little things like the rule of law? You can bet our Supreme Court here won't respect the rule of law.
No doubt other companies will want this special consideration when considering setting up shop here. Having to answer only to the Wisconsin State Supreme Court will make payoffs much cheaper too because there will be fewer palms to grease to get your desired ruling. Maybe even billionaires can apply for this super citizen status. Why should they have to mess with these uncouth lower courts? They are the real citizens of this state and nation.
Perhaps this will be a condition coming to a state near you soon.
