McCain Says Position on Health Care Has Not Changed

https://politicalwire.com/2017/09/20/mccain-says-position-health-care-not-changed/

In an interview with Politico, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) sounded like he could end up tanking the latest GOP health care bill even though it was written by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), his close friend.

Said McCain: “Nothing has changed. If McConnell wants to put it on the floor, that’s up to McConnell. I am the same as I was before. I want the regular order.”

But if you don't get it, will you actually vote against a bill with your buddy's name on it? You didn't really say anything about that; did you think we wouldn't notice?

"destroying jobs," "causing millions to go uninsured," "must be repealed," etc., along with all the other ALEC-approved lines being recited by fellow Repub villains. His "position" can be whatever he wants to claim it is.

Many experts believe he'll now vote to kill the ACA, his "rule of order" just tossing a cloak of fake respectability over his caving to the demands of the big dark money donors. We'll see.

If McCain can convince Lindsey to back away gracefully by saying the bill still needs some work and needs to be re-examined before passage, Ameicians have a chance. If the bill makes it to the floor, McCain will not let Lindsey fail, and Americans lose.
