'Repeal and Go Fuck Yourself' Is in Full EffectThe Graham-Cassidy bill is earning the nickname.
BY JACK HOLMES SEP 21, 2017
Lindsey Graham has really good healthcare that he definitely won't lose, even if the moral catastrophe he's calling a "reform" bill passes the Senate. Graham has cosponsored an Obamacare Repeal and Replace Plan with the impressively mendacious Bill Cassidy and two other Republican heartthrobs. It is somehow worse than the previous plans.
The bill would usher a number of shocking cruelties into law, not least the possibility that as many as 32 million Americans could lose health coverage. That's 10 percent of the population.
The bill is full of fun surprises, like the loophole it creates allowing insurers to deny people coverage for a series of basic medical treatments, including:
*Pregnancy and maternity care
*Prescription drugs
*Mental health services
*Reproductive health services, including birth control
*Substance abuse treatment

Lindsey looks absolutely unhinged here. And ugly inside and out.

(69 posts)...because they literally believe it will cause a collapse of the entire market leading to single-payer it's a disaster for everyone...
...except the Kochs who need the cash for tax cuts.

(9,426 posts)WHY they are not included in this bill, since they claim it is so good? What is so special about them, that they get special healthcare? Time to end their pensions, let them get 401K's. Very few companies issue workers with pensions nowadays. For as few days as these clowns work, destroying this country, they do not EARN a pension. Healthcare for life needs to end for them, too.

(2,574 posts)By eliminating the essential coverage protections for all insurance under Ocare (which includes hospitalization, elimination of annual/lifetime caps and prevebts preexisting condition gouging asw as your list) GrahamCassidySantorum Bill will degrade
everybody's insurance policies straight to junk..
It has been a major messaging mistake for Dems fighting KochBroscare to not emphasize that this is a fight for everybody except the extremely wealthy against losing essential insurance coverage. Democratic arguments constantly narrowly focus on the private market, so today the majority of Americans still believe it does not apply to them, just the 10% in the private markets. Also have utterly failed to message what the devestation of medicaid means to almost everybody. 2/3 of nursing home patients are on medicare. So the vast majority of Americans not only lose access to nursing homes
for their parents and grandparents but it will be "phased out" for themselves and their children.
Everybody gets sick and everybody gets old. Republicans do not care.
I am so frustrated by Democratic arguments focusing on "1%" of Americans, 32 million people only. The destruction of mandatory essential benefits enforced in Obamacare applies to all insurance policies. All employers will have the green light to bottom feed, drift to junk policies and 300 plus million Americans' lives are threatened, not 32 million.
Why not repeat over and over what Obama has said, "if you will EVER get sick or old" then Republican Heathcare puts your life in danger.
