San Juan, Puerto Rico, is in crisis due to the hurricane. Out there, in the middle of it all, is their mayor, Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto. If you have been watching the news, she seems to be everywhere. And not just doing photo ops. Indeed, while being interviewed, she usually seems distracted as she pays much more attention to her citizens than to the news crew. In one interview I saw, she left the boat they were in to wade over to someone she wanted to get to.

(4,940 posts)I yelled at our neighborhood that if you can't give money, give SOMETHING. So we loaded planes (multiple, donated hours/fuel) to get goods to Puerto Rico, Texas, Florida, Mexico. GO GALS!
