Terry Bradshaw: Not Sure Trump Understands 'Every American Has the Right to Speak Out' and Protest

Earlier this morning, former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst Rex Ryan tore into President Donald Trump for attacking NFL players for protesting racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem before games. The Trump-supporting ex-coach said he was pissed off over the presidents comments, especially when it came to Trump calling players sons of bitches.
Today, prior to todays afternoon games where it is expected that a whole lot of players will be kneeling or showing some sort of solidarity during the Star Spangled Banner, Fox Sports Terry Bradshaw weighed in on the issue. And he had some strong words for the president.
Its hard to believe Im going to say something about the most powerful man in the greatest country of the world, Bradshaw began. I was somewhat surprised that the president came out attacking NFL players for them exercising the freedom of speech.
He continued, While I dont condone the protest during our national anthem, this is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, what, its freedom. people die for that freedom. Im not sure if our president understands those rights, that every American has the right to speak out and also to protest. The pro football Hall of Famer added that NFL players do love this country while stating that perhaps Trump should concentrate on bigger issues like North Korea and health care.
Earlier today, it was reported that Bradshaws former team the Pittsburgh Steelers would not come out onto the field when the anthem played before their game this afternoon.
