Any ideas?

What are your ideas for the three most important steps we can take toward party unity?

Mine -
1. Agree to honor a self-imposed truce whether you supported Clinton, Sanders, or some other
candidate.

2. Start or participate in discussions based on specific issues, not personal grievances.

3. Agree to honor the party's "Big Tent" philosophy.

~I genuinely would like to hear your ideas.~

1. Not to talk about how to talk about unity but just do it...

with her or she's dead to me...blah blah blah. That boggles my mind..it's got to be pretty damn bad for me to say that about a D.

3. Both sides need to admit the other has a point

1. The Bernie people have a point in that the party has drifted way too far to the right on s LOT of issues. We're way too nice to banksters and corporations. And yes, we probably have gotten too into identity politics and cosmopolitan urban issues. Speaking purely for myself here in NC, I saw more campaign ads about the dumbass bathroom thing than I did about the coal ash spill that affected far more people and involved large scale corruption at the state legislature.

2. The Centrists are right in that you're not gonna sell an ideologically pure candidate in the backwoods. For example, you're not gonna sell a pro-gun control candidate in a region where the nearest police/animal control officer is a half-hour away at top speed in ideal circumstances. You're not gonna swing a pro-open borders candidate in a district that has seen the downsides of illegal immigration. And yes, there are downsides. It is not racist to admit this.

3. And after that, we need to agree on non-negotiables. Things that we absolutely will not budge on.

5. Very easy, but it will never happen here...

Warren is a sitting Democratic senator and should not be attacked here.

Sanders is a sitting Independent senator who has caucused with the D's for 27 years and should not be attacked here.

Clinton is a private citizen who has stated she will never run for office again and should seldom be mentioned here.

Good luck with that...
