The President should not have the power to pardon to obstruct justice

And he as hell should not have the power to fire FBI directors or Special counsels in cases where he is potentially a direct target of their investigation for criminal conduct. This is a glaring weakness in the system where the suspect gets the power to fire the police because they are looking at him too closely. This is a joke and an honest congress would fix this loophole and soon.

Jefferson, Adams, Monroe, and Washington must all be turning over in their graves.

I'm sure we're going to rewrite the 25th Amentment and maybe others, after this is over with.

The crime would be obstruction of justice, not an illegal pardon. The pardon would only be the vehicle used to obstruct justice.

If a president sold a pardon for one million dollars, he would be guilty of bribery, and the pardon would only be the vehicle used to commit bribery.
