Who will be the John Dean of the Trump Crime Syndicate?

An close insider who steps up and turns state's evidence. Like John Dean.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dean

John Wesley Dean III (born October 14, 1938) is an investment banker, author, columnist, lecturer and former attorney who served as White House Counsel for United States President Richard Nixon from July 1970 until April 1973. In this position, he became deeply involved in events leading up to the Watergate burglaries and the subsequent Watergate scandal cover-up. He was referred to as the "master manipulator of the cover-up" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).[1] He pleaded guilty to a single felony count, in exchange for becoming a key witness for the prosecution. This ultimately resulted in a reduced prison sentence, which he served at Fort Holabird outside Baltimore, Maryland.

So far, no one in Trump's immediate orbit has shown the mental acuity that Dean exhibited, not to mention any degree of moral awareness. There are rats, but none who care for anything more than self-preservation. They may squeal, but only when sufficiently squeezed.

Not a single person near the WH squatter has the brains, courage, or moral fiber to do it.

Every last one of them is a rat who would happily cannibalize every other rat. They have more to fear from each other than Mueller and his team.

He writes well, and he dramstizes his wife's breakdown, his own attempt to stay sane, as he is being made the fall guy, and the administration is unraveling. Everyone was saying, John Dean did it. Clearly, he did a lot.

Manafort doesn't have the integrity of Dean. He's practically a lifetime international mobster, traitor.
Kushner, I believe, is in so deep, he can't see. However, since DT has been blaming him, he may have 2nd thoughts. Maybe Sessions or Pence will turn if Mueller comes after them. I don't know the answer, but it's a good question.

Had no idea what shows were on 1978-1998. Had no tv for half that time and when I DID have a tv. I was working swing shift hours and missed most of them.

There was an actual presidency doing what presidents do.

Trump is surrounded by buffoons like himself. John Kelly was the one people thought was the grown up but he showed himself to be an ignorant bigot.

But now, every one of tRump's cretins and the enabling, silent Repubs don't give a shit about laws anymore. If they truly did, this crapfest would have been flushed months ago.

Of course, we all know that if Obama had pulled just ONE of tRump's stunts (just ONE), Republicans would have been shouting for a public drawing and quartering. They've weaponized their idiocy into seriously dangerous idiocy now.

Someone who could actually grasp the concept of a "greater good," or "country before destroying that country"? I'm hard-pressed to think of anyone in that crew of weirdos who has character enough to do what's right.

I'm going to scoop the cat's litterbox now, the entire exercise being dedicated to Donald J. Trump, whom I wish I could scoop, bag and toss as well.

I confess I misjudged him for years after Watergate, but when he resurfaced during the BushCheney years, I realized that he had grown far past that episode in his life.

In any case, so far no one in Trump's orbit has shown the slightest inclination to honor and ethics. I remain open to being surprised, however.

Even if someone went in with good intentions and a modicum of integrity - its all been stripped away by now. Look at Rosenstien.
