has too much to lose. He will gamble that there are not enough votes to impeach or convict him. He simply will not allow Mueller to continue. Thoughts?

If he tries to order the Deputy Attorney General to fire him, it would be the Saturday Night Massacre all over again.
Probably Trump himself has no real recollection of what happened then, but many of those around him are old enough to recall it and wouldn't want a rerun of that fiasco.
