GOP rep: Virginia defeat 'a referendum' on Trump administration

http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/359300-gop-rep-virginia-defeat-was-a-referendum-on-trump-administration

“I know what the president tweeted. With all do respect to him I think he’s profoundly wrong in his tweet. I’m telling you that from someone who is from Virginia, who watched these races, who watched people lose tonight against opponents who are completely no name.”

Nobody is pretending to believe Trump's bullshit any longer, I can't wait to hear McConnell and Ryan attempt to spin this tomorrow

They must realize that he is poison and will only continue to harm the party. They are really in between a rock and a hard place.

which may be just the reason for the high turnout and white professional vote in the northern burbs breaking so much for Dem.
I would think that it would be mistake to think that going forward identity politics is the ticket. Most of the people voting Dem were likely doing so the old-fashioned reason: their paycheck. And that's how it should be! Everyone is welcome ; be pragmatic and worry about your own household.
