The #1 Issue . . .

. . . in last night's elections was HEALTHCARE.

This is according to exit polls.

We have to support healthcare rights for ALL Americans, and that needs to be a core position of the Democratic Party.

Do you agree?

Do you support single payer healthcare?

I personally believe single payer is the best system to deliver that but I am open to the fact that it isn't the only path.

I support any move that gets us there.

1. HEALTHCARE

2. Education

3. Jobs

I put education over jobs because you have to have one before the other because without it, you cannot get a job.

I don’t mean a college education alone. We need apprenticeship programs and education that expands past being a plumber or vet tech. European countries have been doing it for years. I lived in Italy in the 80’s and they had two paths:
University and apprenticeship

We can do it too.

Not sure that "single payer" was the issue as much as universal health care coverage in whatever way is most expedient and realistic.

And I imagine many of those "identity politics" were near the top for them.

Can you post a link to the results of that exit poll?

I think a mixed system like in France and Germany would be easier to pass and result in a better health care system than single payer. We could use the ACA as a starting point to get there.

That said, single payer is immensely better than what we have now.

If we run on universal health care we will win. Enough Americans have traveled to more civilized countries that the false narrative the republicans use will no longer work. It works in many others nations.

Way more efficient than lining a CEO's pockets every time I get a checkup.
