We flipped two local borough seats with a Bernie supporter and Indie Leftist.

Know why? We are pulling together from the ground up - and avoiding online spats.

I wanted to give an encouraging observation like, "hey, look at that massive ten percent shift away from Trump by white males, eh?"

But, no. It's still horrifying.

The shift in the white vote is part of what helped push Dems over the edge. Without that things would look quite different. Granted the provided chart isn't complete since there's still about 11% unaccounted for in it...but the swing there is quite encouraging.

I knew white men voted overwhelmingly for Trump but not that whites women did, too.

In 2004, Bush got fifty-five per cent of the white female vote, and Kerry got forty-four per cent—a “reverse gender gap” (one working in the G.O.P.’s favor) of eleven points. In 2008, McCain got fifty-three per cent of the white female vote, and Obama got forty-six per cent—a gap of seven points.
