Fox News' Brit Hume: Trump response to Virginia election showed him 'at his worst'

Fox News' Brit Hume criticized President Trump's response to the Republican loss in the Virginia governor's race.

His comments came after Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam (D) defeated his GOP opponent Ed Gillespie (R) in the race for Virginia governor. Trump had previously voiced his support for Gillespie, calling for Virginians to turn out to vote for Gillespie.

In tweets Tuesday, Trump said Gillespie would "turn around the high crime and poor economic performance" of Virginia.

But after Gillespie's defeat, Trump sought to distance himself from the GOP candidate.

Not even close to his worst. I guess poor, poor Brit thinks this is worse than bragging about grabbing women by their genitals, and worse than calling Nazis "good people." What a schmuck.
