Something like, "I realize that covering the local dog chasing a local cat over a local fence is pretty much all you have room for your publishing, but as a public service to Oklahomans, I would like to tell them that the recent off-year elections resulted in a political bloodbath for Republicans, and was a nearly across-the-board repudiation of President Trump and whatever policies he's advocating today (subject to 180° change without notice)."
