Why the DelBene video is so important. That video could easily kill the GOP tax plan..

Last edited Sat Nov 11, 2017, 10:01 PM - Edit history (3)

If it gets thousands of views, and then hundreds of thousands, then millions.. it will be shown on network news. It will be picked up by every late night host that opposes this s**t......IT WILL GO VIRAL... This is 2 minutes and 30 seconds of questions about the GOP Tax cut plan by Suzan DelBene a member of the House of Representatives from Washington State...(yes, she is a Democrat)

This video is simple to understand.
This video compares families to corporations
This video is very short, most people have 2min and 30secs to watch it.
This video clearly shows that the GOP tax plan favors corporations over people
This video is not loud, it is inquisitive and most important.......more important than anything else.........
....................................this video is honest..........................

Don't underestimate, a short, clear to understand, well written and honest video ...Please pass this on to everyone.
It is so honest that everyone will like it, and everyone will understand what the GOP tax plan, and what the GOP really is all about.........

Never, never, underestimate a short, well written, clear to understand, fair, and honest speech.!!!!! please read this very short story about long vs short speeches.:

.... Edward Everett was a very well known speaker in the 1850s. His specialty was dedications and memorials. He was of the best writers and speakers of his time. He was asked to speak at the dedication of a battlefield during the Civil War.
.... He was honored to speak there. It was the speech of a lifetime. He prepared a long clear essay of at least an hour and a half,, that covered every aspect of war and the battle. Leading up to, the battle itself, background, death, meaning of war, etc.,,''

The "other guys speech" was very short and very simple..His speech lasted less than 3 minutes. It was exceptionally well written, easy to understand, clear. and totally eloquent. They say that he, "the other guy" wasn't feeling well that day, but he needed to be there at Gettysburg, that day. So which speech have you heard of...Edward Everett's speech ......or Lincoln's Gettysburg Address..???

Just a perfect line of contrast within the questioning.

These guys are the worst among us. They have no shame about their robbery. It’s a giant cash grab on the backs and at the expense of the American people.

Decades ago, in the midst of a recession, where unemployment was between 20% and 30% in my area, I moved for better job opportunities. It was a small, cheap move. Still, I was able to deduct the cost of the U-Haul and other moving costs, since I was moving to a new job (I got the job before I moved).

It is OUTRAGEOUS that someone who proactively moves to work cannot deduct this expense, but a BUSINESS can. That's OUTRAGEOUS!

All we need to do is send it to Rachel!

ETA: Once Rachel reports on something it stands a better chance of making it out to the mainstream.

She's great. (There's also some background info on her here.)

WA State is lucky to have her among our representatives in Congress.

there are a LOT of very conservative rural communities along with more progressive college areas. She usually has to walk a pretty fine line to avoid turning off a large segment of her constituency. If she can get her message through to the potato farmers and the rest of the conservative areas that still have "MAGA - tRump!" signs along the roadside it will definitely be a benefit.

I saw the Q&A a few days ago, and have been posting it with comments (mostly directed at some of my tRump-supporting friends that I served in the Air Force with.)

The tax cut does nothing for anyone under, say, $100,000. The focus here was on deductibles, minor items, but major to you and me.

What gets me is, no one is mentioning the deficit. But, it seems in the not to distant past, we had a sequester, in order to minimize spending impact on the deficit. NOW, the deficit seems to be forgotten.

So much for thinking that the GOP can govern. They want to give up revenue and bet on growth.

The GOP can't even run a business. Corporations sell something. How long does a corporation stay in business when it reduces its revenue without product changes?

Government is about people. Corporations have a product, therefore can't qualify as a person. In my estimation.

In history of economic thought, its been known for some 35-40 years that trickle down does not work. Even if it's called growth.
