Poll: 37 percent of Alabama evangelicals more likely to vote for Moore after allegations

Nearly 40 percent of Alabama evangelicals say in a new poll that they are more likely to vote for GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore after allegations of sexual misconduct arose against him.

A JMC analytics poll finds 37 percent of the evangelicals surveyed say the allegations against Moore make them more likely to vote for the GOP Senate candidate in the upcoming election.

Just 28 percent say the allegations made them less likely to vote for Moore and 34 percent said the allegations made no difference in their decision.

In all, 29 percent of respondents in the poll said the allegations against Moore would make them more likely to vote for him, compared to 38 percent overall who say the allegations would make them less likely to support Moore.

Now he's claiming to be persecuted by Democrats and the media, so they're more behind him than ever. Apparently child molestation isn't a deal-breaker for some people.

Most of them are sincere in their Christian faith, although they interpret the book somewhat differently than liberal Christians do. Keep in mind that they do not believe the allegations are true. All over Alabama, you can bet that many of today's sermons were about how Satan is trying to bring down Roy Moore because he's such a strong Christian and champion of the faith.

people here dont realize that voters in Bama probably see this as outside forces working against "God's chosen man" for this position. So even if they do believe it, they probably just assume that was years ago in his previous life.

Denies reality. You can’t interpret Christ preaching to feed the poor by thinking what he really meant is the poor are lazy and don’t want to work and that’s why they don’t have food.

Or interpret the greatest of these is LOVE by saying hate people who are different than you.
A simple look at the beatitudes. These people are not Christian, they do not follow Christ or the things he stood for.

Take that to mean they are unshakable, have supported Moore all along, and would gladly vote twice for him if they only could. But any "new" support from this select 37% ??? I kind of doubt it!

Pro-USA (no matter what this country does around the world).
Pro-white culture.

They'll assume it's all a hit piece from the so-called "liberal media" anyway.

Blew my mind. My wife was expecting me back from the convenience store, so I dropped the idea of "interfering" in some way despite how I thought the girl was a minor. I could've been wrong about her age too, of course.

I was 16, and my 44 year old dad took me to get a food handler's permit for my new job in a restaurant. I sure wish I could remember what my dad said while we were waiting for me to get my TB test, but I don't. It wasn't anything inappropriate, I'd remember if it was. Whatever it was, it got the attention of the receptionist, who asked us in all seriousness, "Oh, are y'all engaged?"

Results like this eliminate any doubt whatsoever as to what the evangelical movement is and has become, which is a hollow shell of hypocrites who are more concerned with pushing their crazy "values" on everyone else, as opposed to demonstrating any concern with the actual wellbeing of their fellow citizens.

I'm not saying that all evangelicals are hypocritical frauds, but those who aren't need to start pushing back against what is essentially a complete takeover of their movement.

Self-described good Christians anyway. And yes, they ARE Christians; like many, they cherrypick what to believe and cheerfully discard the few good things in the Bible. Remember, Mary was only 14, like it says nowhere in the Bible.
