Deputies: Florida man in 8-hour standoff says he was shooting at rats

PALM HARBOR, Fla. - After an eight-hour standoff with police, a Florida man told officers he was only shooting at rats in his yard with a rifle.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that neighbors in the Palm Harbor area began reporting hearing gunshots about 3 a.m. Sunday. Deputies heard more shots coming from a house after they arrived.

Florida man faces eviction over emotional-support squirrel

Ryan Boylan was issued a notice from his condo to get rid of Brutis the squirrel or face eviction. For Boylan the option was simple...the squirrel stays.

The doctor's note shows further proof that the Florida man has the right to have an emotional support animal. He suffered from post-traumatic stress from a car accident back in 2004.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - A naked man was arrested on allegations of entering a woman's New Smyrna Beach home and trying on her clothes, according to a charging affidavit.

According to New Smyrna Beach police, the woman said she observed a naked man enter her house through the garage. She said he was acting strangely and entered her bedroom, according to police.

The man went through some of her clothing and put some on, police said.

New Smyrna Beach police said the woman ran out of her home and got her son, who lives next door.

The man banged on the son's window before rolling around in the man's lawn, police said.

Police said they were unable to interview Vaglica because he was intoxicated.

"the woman said she observed a naked man enter her house through the garage. She said he was acting strangely and entered her bedroom"

Apparently, just the act of walking into someone's home naked isn't strange enough.

I know someone who, a few years ago, woke up with a naked young man in bed beside her.
Her husband works out of town during the week.

She called the cops obviously. The kid was hammered. He contacted her a few years later and told her that that night changed his life. He sobered up completely and hasn't touch it since.

That said....

Bringing a squirrel into your condo as a rescue, domesticating said squirrel, and then claiming it's an ESP is about as bullshit as it gets. It should have also never been domesticated in this manner. Someone needs to get this story to PETA.

I saw them about 3 years apart.

One guy was drunk and had not raised the blades all way up and was leaving a long trail of sparks in the night once he hit the highway.
Totally clue-less.
his wife had hidden the car keys from him. Wonder why..?

#2 had a better argument....His license was revoked for to many DUIs. He claimed they could not arrest him since he was not driving a car.

A Florida woman rode her horse on a highway drunk, police say. She was charged with a DUI
By Marwa Eltagouri November 4

Nothing’s unusual in Florida, a sheriff department spokesman said Friday. But some things — like a woman arrested this week for allegedly riding a horse while drunk down a busy highway — are still surprising.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, a passer-by saw Donna Byrne, 53, on the horse looking confused and possibly in danger and notified officers, according to her arrest affidavit. Sheriff’s officers found Byrne on Combee Road near North Crystal Road in Lakeland, about 35 miles east of Tampa. She smelled of alcohol and had red watery eyes. When she dismounted from the horse, she staggered from side to side.

Byrne had ridden the horse for a 10 to 15-mile stretch from Polk City, said Brian Bruchey, a spokesman for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Byrne is being charged with driving under the influence while operating a vehicle — which in her case was a horse equipped with a saddle and bridle. She is also charged with animal neglect for putting the horse in danger of being injured or killed.

will have laws against drunkenly operating any mode of transportation, or moving vehicle, like the lawnmower, or a horse. Maybe even a bicycle. Though that obviously does not occur to Florida Woman.
