Hours after being humiliated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump angrily lashed out at his critics, including U.S. intelligence officials, who he referred to as “haters and fools.”
In a series of tweets, Trump said he and Putin had “good discussions on Syria,” and then defended his shameful comments earlier in the day, when he stood up for Putin and denigrated the entire U.S. intelligence community.
Parroting pro-Kremlin propaganda, Trump suggested that we should ignore Russia’s attempt to undermine our democracy and instead should pursue a good relationship with the government that wants America to fail.
“When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing,” Trump tweeted. “There [sic] always playing politics – bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!”
