He didn't use those words, but said exactly that. But then, he also said that he could shoot someone on a public street and people would still vote for him.
Welcome to Republican election ethics, folks. Apparently nothing matters, as long as you vote for the Republican. This is the twisted logic that is in play. This is what we are fighting against. We'd better come together if we plan to win, I think.

(63,270 posts)Whenever a Democrat does wrong, from minor moral lapses to full blown crimes, the media immediately goes to some Conservative commentator or another. They never actually identify Conservatives as "moral authorities," but the message over time is very clear.
When a Republican falters (e.g., rapes a child), they go to a Republican for commentary.
When a Democrat falters (e.g., is dubiously accused of minimal improper conduct), they go to a Republican for commentary.
