Hope Hicks to Friend: I Won't Go To The Jail Because Of Trump.

Hicks has been a constant presence by Trump's side.

Hope Hicks: A witness to Trump's rise
Jeremy Diamond, CNN November 27, 2017

Washington (CNN)It took Hope Hicks seven years to go from college graduate to White House communications director.
She spent about five of those years working for the Trumps, developing a strong relationship with the future US President and his family, and now stands as one of President Donald Trump's longest-serving and most trusted aides.
But it's that role as a top Trump confidante, with an office steps from the Oval Office, that is landing her in special counsel Robert Mueller's hot seat.

CNN recently reported that she would be interviewed around Thanksgiving as part of the probe into whether the Trump campaign aided Russia in meddling in the 2016 election, though it's unclear if she has already gone in. Trump and other top officials have denied any wrongdoing.

Hicks has been there through it all. The 29-year-old was one of Trump's first hires as he assembled a lean team of aides who would launch his improbable presidential campaign. From then, until his election, she was a constant presence by his side -- traveling to nearly every rally, hovering within earshot during interviews and always prepared to type out a bombastic tweet as dictated by her boss. .....................

How any woman could sleep with that pig for money and power is just a mystery to me. Nothing is worth doing anything so revolting and degrading.

Should probably be

The 29-year-old was one of Trump's first hires as he assembled a team of lean aides

He likely wouldn't hire anyone below a 7.

Neither Kellyanne Conway nor any of the women Trump has put on his Cabinet have Trump-quality looks. And we won’t even talk about Mike Huckabee’s daughter; that one almost seems like Mike called in a marker.

Hope Hicks, OTOH, looks like she’s going to be Mrs. Trump IV.

This is treason. The Rosenbergs faced the death penalty for less.
Many of these co-conspirators should face the ultimate punishment after the tribunals including Hicks, Don Jr Jared and Ivanka.

who got a "dream" job working PR for a billionaire, and now she's in the firing line for National Security and money trafficking offenses.

Totally out of her depth of course, and being used by Trump & Co. She is probably meant to be another sacrificial lamb stood up to take a proverbial bullet for her boss. Nobody should be in her position without 15-20 years experience in journalism/government affairs.

Good luck.

24. That Is Why She Got the Job
Mon Nov 27, 2017, 02:00 PM
Nov 2017

I do not know if the read the article, but from reading the article I got the idea that the only reason they gave her the job is that on one else reputable wanted the job and she is not really the White House Communications Director. From the article, it seemed like she is mainly a personal assistant, secretary, butt kisser, and ego booster. How many people with 15-20 years of experience in journalism/government affairs would want to take a role where they had a title, got paid money, but really only did the job of a personal assistant and an ego booster. It seems like personal assistant/ego booster is a good job for a 29 year old with very little experience who just wants and needs a job. However, it does not seem like a good job for someone who for 15-20 years has worked their way up the communications ladder and now wants to actually dictate strategy for a White House.

Hope Hicks may have also gotten the job because she is not threatening to Donald Trump's need for attention. Trump seems to have a problem with not being the center of attention. Since Hicks seems to not want any attention, all the attention goes to Trump. If Trump had gotten a more traditional White House Communications Director that person may have wanted and gotten more attention and more control than Hicks has sought.

Her statement can be read a couple of ways. She is not saying that Trump is keeping her out of jail. She is really just saying that she is not going to jail.

a concensual relationship (even with power imbalances in play) isn't in itself a hanging offense.

I seem to recall in Clinton's case (bound to come up in retaliation if this story gains any legs), it was his lying in testimony about it that finally triggered impeachment proceedings.

Just saying.

She joined up in 2012, about the time Rykov recruited tRump and began his St. Petersburg internet disinformation campaign in tRump's favor.
